Christopher David Noth was born on  November 13, 1954. He is an actor from the United States. He is best known for his roles as NYPD Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1990–95), Big on Sex and the City (1998–2004), and Peter Florrick on The Good Wife (2009–16) on television. Noth played Mike Logan on Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2005 to 2008, and he also played Big in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2008). (2010). For Sex and the City in 1999 and The Good Wife in 2010, he obtained Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor on Television. Noth featured in the first two seasons of CBS's The Equalizer reboot in 2021.

From 1990 through 1995, Noth was in a relationship with model Beverly Johnson. Johnson obtained a restraining order against Noth, alleging that he had abused her physically, verbally, and racially.  After meeting her in 2001 or 2002, he began dating Tara Lynn Wilson, a Canadian model, actor, and former beauty queen. Their first child was born in the year 2008. They became co-owners of the Windsor, Ontario, tea shop Once Upon a Tea Cup and a London, Ontario, location. On April 6, 2012, they married. In February 2020, Noth and his wife announced the birth of their second son, Keats.  His wife is of mixed African-American and Filipino ancestry. According to the sources, they are still together.

Noth was charged with sexual assault by two women, Lily and Zoe, on December 16, 2021, with one woman stating that Noth had cheated on his wife when he raped her. Both women were substantially younger than Noth at the alleged encounter and contacted The Hollywood Reporter months apart. Another lady accused Noth of sexual assault in New York in 2010, alleging that he forcibly kissed her and removed her tights to penetrate her digitally when she was eighteen. The incident was refuted by Noth's spokesman, who stated that Noth did not know the woman.
