He is best known for his roles as NYPD Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1990–95), Big on Sex and the City (1998–2004), and Peter Florrick on The Good Wife (2009–16) on television. Noth played Mike Logan on Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2005 to 2008, and he also played Big in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2008). (2010). Noth was charged with sexual assault by two women, Lily and Zoe, on December 16, 2021, with one woman stating that Noth had cheated on his wife when he raped her. Both women were substantially younger than Noth at the alleged encounter and contacted The Hollywood Reporter months apart.
